This charismatic family rebuilt their farm over the past 25 years and it is now run by the gifted sisters Agnes and Katarina (and their two partners), all together, they are making some of the most exciting skin-contact wines we know! FUN FACTS! They practice beekeeping across their 17 hectares of vines, and as for the rest of their 350 hectare farm, they tend to livestock, grow poppies, barley, wheat & more! The refreshingly acid-forward riesling is from 10-35 year old, biodynamically tended vines. They see a 10-day maceration extracting gripping tannins, six months in terracotta eggs (hello EGGSTASY), and a two year maturation in neutral wooden barrels – made of oak trees from their forest! Orchid, apple medley, mouthwatering peach ring tartness, quince jam, pomelo perfume & tannins that reach down, touch our hearts & fill them with glee. Frankovka (Blaufrankisch), Cabernet Sauvignon & Alibernet, Trnava, Slovakia | You read that right, Slovakia! This family estate was reclaimed after being repossessed by the government during the Slovak National Uprising against the Nazis. Now, under the name ‘Slobodné Vinárstvo’ (which translates to ‘free winery’), the family has replanted the vines, reconstructed the cellar and converted to biodynamic practices. Malý Majer blends freshly pressed juice with previous vintages from a solera for the ultimate cool-climate, food-friendly red for all occasions. Expect notes of blackcurrant, dark cherry, dried plum and pomegranate molasses with structured tannins and a pleasant herbal finish, a perfect cold weather red without the undue weight. Děvín, Traminer, Trnava, Slovakia | A sleek skin contact, like running your hand along a freshly sanded table top. Slobodne is a family-run estate that was reclaimed in 1997, and has been making wine as Slobodné Vinárstvo since 2010. The family spent the last 25+ years rebuilding the ecosystem of the farm, now run by the skilled sisters Agnes and Katarina, together they craft some of the most distinctive natural wines we have tasted. FUN FACTS! They practice beekeeping across their 17 hectares of vines, and as for the rest of their 350 hectare farm, they tend to livestock, grow poppies, barley, wheat & more! A blend of luscious, Slovakian-specialty Děvín & feistily-aromatic Traminer. Grapes are from 10-35 year old vines, grown on loess & calcium soil for a roundhouse kick of chalky power. Fermentation is done on the skins for six weeks to extract lean tannins that beg for your attention. Wafting lychees, lime, geranium and elderflower, with curious orange, grapefruit pith, dried thyme & a fresh bed of hay. Enjoy while camping with the afternoon’s fresh river catch.

Field Blend, Trnava, Slovakia | An elegantly textured white blend, fit for the glasses of the masses. Slobodne is a family-run estate that was reclaimed in 1997, and have been making wine as Slobodné Vinárstvo since 2010. The family spent the last 25+ years rebuilding the ecosystem of the farm, now run by the gifted sisters Agnes and Katarina. Together they craft some of the most distinctive natural wines in Europe. The concept of ‘Majer white’ is a multi-vintage blend of their homegrown white varieties. Everything will vary yearly and the percentages never set, as ultimately, the key is balance and a full expression of the estate. Dominated by herbaceous grüner veltliner and lean yet bountiful sauvignon blanc, all varieties are fermented separately in a range of vessels and styles (concrete, wood, steel), before being lovingly blended to perfection. All the citrus pith, Korean jelly candies, underripe nectarine, scotch broom, gooseberry, the offering of table-side ground white pepper & hugging-someone-taller-than-you-with-a-nicely-trimmed-beard kinda texture on your forehead. Delivery:
For Toronto Orders (M Postal Code) that are placed before 8 pm will arrive within 1 to 2 days. Our courier delivers between 12 - 5pm Mon-Fri and sends tracking. We do not offer same day delivery on Fridays. 

If you would like your item delivered on a certain day, please let us know at checkout.

For Ontario-wide orders, delivery will vary depending on the location but will take an average of 5 business days, or longer depending on remote locations.

We can’t *guarantee* shipping times outside of Toronto - we wish! - so please order early if you know you need your wine for a special occasion. Please note our delivery partners for Ontario do not deliver on the weekends.
