The name Sigyn in Norse mythology means, \"victorious girl-friend” #goals! A joining of the tart n’ tannic hybrid grape regent (75%) with five days of lifting semi-carbonic maceration, while the rounding, aromatic riesling (25%) sees three days of semi-carbonic maceration. Cherry inflected VA (perky and delicious volatile acidity), unpredictable bubbles like spurting cake sparklers, giggling through whispered secrets, sour cloud berry lollipop, airplane pepper packet, dusty gemstone shop \u0026amp; rhubarb chomp. Purchased from friends, the highly aromatic, richly-fruited huxelrebe (50%), rounding pinot blanc (25%), citric riesling (20%), and the herbaceous hybrid regent (5%) see a mix of semi-carbonic maceration and direct pressing to keep the grapes exactly where she wants them. Her wines gallop freely like a wild herd, playing with sensory experience, macerations, low alcohol, affordability \u0026amp; evocative character. The 40-year-old riesling for ‘Helja’ – a feminine name meaning ‘clear’ or ‘bright’ in nordic\/germanic – was grown on clay and slate soils, semi-carbonically macerated for three days to trap a yellow-gold sort of hue, and then aged for six months to enjoy a nice little growth spurt. A cave that goes on and on, and on, salty pretzel crackers, slightly tart clementine juice, white jasmine flowers, white agave plushness, yuzu \u0026amp; cool mint all lend nuance and niceties.
