Dario Nocci acts as winemaker and part-owner and came from a conventional wine education background, but shed that restrictive skin in favour of creating wines that breathe with life and stir up feeling. In the vineyards they utilize biodynamic treatments with the aim of encouraging the diversity of the soils, plants and animals, and in the cellar they work with minimal intervention, utilizing clay amphora for macerating and aging these textured wonders. Named after a small farm next to the vineyard, the blend of tart, tropical-leaning trebbiano (80%) and floral, mineral malvasia toscana (10%) are whole-cluster, semi-carbonically macerated for six days to lift, then a small portion of direct-pressed sangiovese (10%) is added for a peck of acid.
