Delicate as a white doily on your great-grandmother’s end table. Dedicated farmers and tender sculptors of fermentation, we could not possibly adore the wines of Anders and Anne more! Growing & fermenting between Alsace and Ardeche with a heartstring-pulling level of charm & splendour. In 2021, after a series of hail storms it was necessary for the duo to source fruit from some nearby friends. Red Winters are late ripening, aromatic apples with maroon coloured skin and a tart flavour. Direct pressed and with a quick fermentation, the cider was disgorged soon after and topped up with viognier (also from 2021) which lifts the aromatics and adds some weight on the tongue. Florals like a natural ‘Febreze’, prickly pears, bartlett pear skin, icicle drips, sweetness clinging to acidity riding on the backs of the compact bubbles! Pour alongside ‘water core’ albums & french fries.
