After 36 years at Domaine Ponsot (the well known and much loved family estate), Laurent Ponsot left in February of 2017 to pursue a new wine adventure. Sometimes (often?) a magnum of classically elegant and expertly tailored Burgundy is exactly what the doctor ordered. After 36 years at Domaine Ponsot (the well known and much loved family estate), Laurent Ponsot left in February of 2017 to pursue a new wine adventure. Joined in this new endeavour by his son, Clément, the two are churning out some undeniably delicious cuvées made with organic practices. From sturdy 60 year old vines, a quarter of the cuvée was raised in oak to add subtle and integrated notes of vanilla and warmth. Raspberry gelee, kirsch cheers, plum compote on a fruitcake, a long hike, cola nut & an 85% chocolate dip. Drink now til 2040 with 10 of your closest friends.
