Grolleau, Loire Valley, France | An eminently drinkable, ultra-fresh red from Émeline Calvez and Sébastien Bobinet of the newly-renamed Calvez-Bobinet, a beloved 8th generation natural winery in Saumur. Piak! brings a real Comic Sans energy to the low-profile Loire grape Grolleau, disparaged in the past but like QR codes in 2020, is back with a vengeance and something to prove! Parched throats, beware – this light, juicy & slightly spicy red is coming for you! The grapes were split into two tanks – destemmed in one, whole bunches in the other – and fermented for 10 days, then blended and aged for another few months before bottling without fining or filtration. Tastes like mulberries and blackcurrant jelly, cherry pit, blackberry seed and crabapple with a sprig of mint, a crack of white pepper and hardly any tannins. So dang refreshing! Pair with night walks on the train tracks, burgers & a trenchcoat with nothing underneath.

Blanc is for the perpetually parched, a blushing white wine named after the sound your mouth makes when your thirst is finally quenched, the French equivalent of an Alyssa Edwards tongue pop! From Saumur superstars Émeline Calvez and Sébastien Bobinet of the newly-rebranded Calvez-Bobinet, Piak! Blanc gives dark-skinned Cabernet Franc a whole new lease on life, vinified as a blanc de noirs with a touch more colour than previous vintages, like a drop of raspberry and peach syrup in a green tea lemonade. Fruitopia-toned, lightly fruity & distinctly floral, drink this poolside for the full effect – peaches off the tree, juicy papaya, golden plum, dusty rose, elderflower, salty lemonade & a minerality like the white limestone-washed walls of Greece, or the Bobinet cellar if you get a chance to visit. Delivery:
For Toronto Orders (M Postal Code) that are placed before 8 pm will arrive within 1 to 2 days. Our courier delivers between 12 - 5pm Mon-Fri and sends tracking. We do not offer same day delivery on Fridays.

For Ontario-wide orders, delivery will vary depending on the location but will take an average of 5 business days, or longer depending on remote locations.

We can’t *guarantee* shipping times outside of Toronto - we wish! - so please order early if you know you need your wine for a special occasion. Please note our delivery partners for Ontario do not deliver on the weekends.
