FUN FACT! Cerasuolo (meaning “cherry-red\") di Vittoria is a fresh, but endlessly complex style of red wine dating back to the founding of the Sicilian city of Vittoria in 1607! An old-vine blend of tart and fruit-forward frappato (40%) and tannic, savoury-leaning nero d’avola (60%) plucked from sandy-clay soils, rich in iron and sitting over limestone. The grapes were destemmed, macerated for 20 days in concrete tanks and aged for 12 months in old oak, followed by 12 months in concrete and then a final 12 months in bottle before being sent off into the world.
