Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani’s first vintage in 2010 was such a disaster that they called in an elderly virtuosa to perform a ritual over the grapes, hence the name ‘Lammidia’ (or evil eye, in Abruzzese dialect). It evidently worked because these cloudy, next-to-no sulphur wines are famous in the nat. . .

Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani’s first vintage in 2010 was such a disaster that they called in an elderly virtuosa to perform a ritual over the grapes, hence the name ‘Lammidia’ (or evil eye, in Abruzzese dialect). It evidently worked because these cloudy, next-to-no sulphur wines are famous in the natural wine world for their incredible texture and energy. This juicy, low-ABV carbonic red is no different, the vintage cranberry-coloured leather jacket you should’ve bought – overripe black cherries, Swedish berries, Italy before Gucci, a whisper of tannin & a yeehaw of barnyard. Finally, a wine for kissing and telling!
