Richard Stávek has been a leader in natural winemaking and environment conscious agriculture since the mid-90s. He and his wife Stanislava's 15 hectares of land in South Moravia are home to vineyards, cherries, walnuts, vegetables, sea buckthorn bushes, and apricots. It also includes wood they use furniture production, berries for brandy, beehives for honey and wax for bottles, with animal life including goats for cheese (stop us we’re DROOOLING!), and other crops that all play their part in the biodiversity symphony they’ve cultivated. ‘Vesely’ is a field blend of white grapes from 50-year-old old vines, including herbaceous grüner veltliner, rich malvasia, floral müller-thurgau, spiced neuburger, peachy pinot blanc, tropical traminer and tart welschriesling.
