From old massale selection vines in the prized village of Courgis - sadly unrelated to the adorable dogs! - this wine has long been the calling card of the Pico domaine, transcending its village status it easily stands up to top 1er Crus from many producers. Fermented with natural yeasts, it spends nearly two years on lees in a mix of stainless tanks and concrete eggs gaining awe-inspiring texture, hence the Mise Tardive (late bottling) designation. The resulting wine has all of the deep mineral intensity and freshness one could ask for in Chablis, but with deeper layers of expressive ripe citrus and pear fruit, and salty complexity. Delicious now, for the patient, this wine will continue to gain complexity for 10+ years.
