We will have your order ready in one business day at most, very often we can get this ready for pick up right away.

You’ll receive an email confirming when your order is ready for pick up. If you’re in a super rush and haven’t received an email, give us a call when you’re en route and we’ll get that packed for you 416-546-2151

By law we require someone 19+ home to receive a delivery of wine.

No! We never include a paper copy of your receipt to save as much paper as we can. You’ll automatically get an itemized confirmation email receipt when you place your order.

We don’t include any printed notes directly in your order unless requested. We lovingly share detailed wine notes on each product page, and share these notes via email for custom packs or Wine Club. Take a quick screenshot if you’d like to save these. If you ever are missing a note, send us a quick email and we can pass it along.

No, you do not need to add any additional food item to your order. We’ll automatically include a piece of candy because we love you (and it is legally required).

After you’ve added all your items to your cart, head to the checkout and enter any notes you may have about your order. This includes delivery instructions (knock three times at the side door) and any notes (I have always loved you, will you go on a date with me?).

Yes! We suggest first taking a look at our 2 and 3-packs; these are our lovingly curated and always changing wine combos that we put together based on our in-store favourites and the most popular wine *moods*. Love a juicy red? We’ve got a pack for that! Crazy for Orange wine? It’s the Orange Wave~ pack for you!

You can always email us for more guidance on making selections.

About the Wines

A common misconception is that natural wines will spoil super quickly. All wines we sell are good to store for 1-3 years, though the fresher styles are always best within a year or two. When storing wine, look for a cool-ish and dark-ish place. No fancy wine cellar? A closet will do! Avoid right-beside-the-radiator-or-fridge to avoid temperature fluctuations. If you’re keeping wine for more than a year, it’s best to get a simple wine rack that allows you to store wine on its side to prevent the cork from drying out. Some natural wines we work with can age 10+ years. If you’re seeking some true cellar gems, ask us and we can point you in the right direction.

We also want that wine back! As we work with lots of small makers and lots of small agencies in Toronto, our in-store and online stock is constantly changing. Love something and now it’s gone? Bummer! BUT something just as delicious will replace it and that fave will be back in a few months - many great small producers are in market once or twice a year.

No! We only work with small producers that are not at the LCBO. The LCBO is one of the world’s largest retailers - #3 after some huge UK supermarkets, the last time we checked! Imagine buying all your produce at Costco and then discovering farmers’ markets. Welcome to the small production, flavourful and joyful revolution that is natural wine and *finally* legal wine shops in Ontario. If you love interesting flavours and knowing your maker, natural wine is for you.

Yes! We only work with organic, biodynamic and natural wines made by producers we believe in.

It happens! Corks allow wine to breathe just the right amount but sometimes cork can be tainted by TCA, a compound that makes it smell and taste like a wet basement or an old pair of gym socks. Although not *dangerous* to drink, it certainly isn't pleasurable! If your wine is corked please bring the full bottle (re-sealed with the original cork) into the shop and we’d be happy to exchange or replace it for you. If you are ageing your wine more than a year, it should always be stored sideways so the cork can stay moist and be kept at as stable a temperature as possible (aka: closet or basement: yes!) right beside the radiator (no thank you!).

Other common questions

Our beloved back patio - now with literal fountain! - will open May 1st and will once again be pouring *all the wines* by the glass.

Please note as of November 9th 2021 we are also closed for indoor service.

Alongside the store, we also have our own wine agency, Grape Witch Imports. This allows us to directly bring in some of our very favourite wines and get you the sharpest price possible. We sell to great restaurants across Ontario, as well as direct to you. We’ll announce imports releases on our newsletter and instagram. We offer these in case volumes to get you the hottest deals. Although we *love* importing wine, we also work with 30+ other agents in Ontario to always have the most interesting and delicious offerings.

Yes! We offer both in-person and virtual Education Hours. These structured but casual guided tastings are a super fun way to learn all about natural wine and our favourite producers and regions.
