New Ways to Taste
Wine tasting notes are meant to create a shared language around how we experience wine. But the traditional vocabulary can feel a bit limiting, and natural wine has expanded far beyond these borders. What are the new ways to taste? How can we share the dynamic experience of each bottle? In this 90-minute conversation, we’ll explore how we talk about wine, guided by five, interesting and unique wines from around the world.

Greece
Greece has been making wine since forever (literally, the gods drank it), but the new generation is flipping the script—wild indigenous grapes, natural-leaning magic, and bottles that are way too good for the price. Beyond Santorini sunsets, it’s mountains, coastlines, and islands pouring crisp whites, moody reds, and wines that feel like myth come to life. Come drink history, fun, and a little chaos with us.

The Austro-Hungarian Empire
The Austro-Hungarian Empire included places we now know as Czechia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Italy and MORE (including Austria and Hungary, of course!). What a wild and dramatic time in relatively recent history! And what incredible wine growers now work these lands with shifting rulers and borders. In this new class, we’ll taste some of their wines, and talk shifting politics and borders, historic winemaking traditions, grapes that have totally different names just one town over & more.
