GW Annual BIPOC Grant x Community Tickets
The Grape Witches Grant (née Scholarship!) has helped amazing wine professionals further their goals in the industry. Started in 2019, we have given more than 25 k in flexible grants to folks at every stage of their wine journey from beginner to advanced. This year, we've teamed up with Vinequity to offer a 5 k named scholarship, which includes education and professional development. Keep an eye on their site for release dates and how to apply!
We love hosting wine education! In the fall to spring, we host weekly classes between our Dundas and Waterworks locations. Each class offers free BIPOC community tickets to provide accessible access to folks traditionally excluded from wine spaces. Find these tickets on each Education Hour we offer.
Our Space
Grape Witches exists within a settler-colonial state and we acknowledge the role that businesses play in supporting change in our community.
We are committed to dismantling the systemic barriers experienced by BIPOC people in our industry and promoting organizations that share our commitment to social and environmental justice.
With thanks to Courtney Skye.
There are no steps at the front entrance to the shop and two steps from the shop to the patio. Two bathrooms are located on the same floor — the larger, wheelchair accessible bathroom has a manual door that swings inwards. The second floor is only accessible by stairs.
We’re always looking for ways to make our space more accessible — please reach out with suggestions at hello@grapewitches.com.
