Giulio Armani worked at the legendary La Stoppa before branching out with his side project, Denavolo, making white and skin-contact wines out of regional grapes at vineyards of incredible altitude, at 300m to 700m above sea level. Wild fermented in tank with 4-7 months of skin-contact, then bottled without fining, filtration or added sulphites. Earthen and aromatic with a touch of orange pekoe tannin and pithy citrus bitterness – negroni orange twist, black iced tea with lemon, apple cider, almond skin, thyme leaf, getting candle wax on your hand and liking it. There’s only pre- and post-Dinavolino – if this is your first, welcome to the rest of your life.
