Brothers Emmanuel and Thierry Delaille are the fifth generation of the Delaille family at the domaine, dating back to the late 1800s. In Cheverny, white wines have often been left in the shadows of their more famous siblings Sancerre and Pouillé Fumé but they are beginning to capture our hearts as well. In the limestone plains of Northeastern Tourraine, this Cheverny Sauvignon Blanc is giving us citrus oil left on our hands from peeling an orange, and lemon water. Orange blossom, fresh peas, honeysuckle - I mean, is this bougie, white-linen lunch or are we just hungry and thirsty and ready to hit up that wealthy aunt we never call?
