This charismatic family rebuilt their farm over the past 25 years and it is now run by the gifted sisters Agnes and Katarina (and their two partners), all together, they are making some of the most exciting skin-contact wines we know! FUN FACTS! They practice beekeeping across their 17 hectares of vines, and as for the rest of their 350 hectare farm, they tend to livestock, grow poppies, barley, wheat & more! The refreshingly acid-forward riesling is from 10-35 year old, biodynamically tended vines. They see a 10-day maceration extracting gripping tannins, six months in terracotta eggs (hello EGGSTASY), and a two year maturation in neutral wooden barrels – made of oak trees from their forest! Orchid, apple medley, mouthwatering peach ring tartness, quince jam, pomelo perfume & tannins that reach down, touch our hearts & fill them with glee. Ugni Blanc, Gros Manseng, Muscat d’Alexandria, Cahors, France | Three of these regional white grapes definitely steal the show here: Ugni Blanc, Gros Manseng, and Muscat of Alexandria are macerated together for 3 months in concrete and then aged a further 6 months, producing a perfectly balanced, quaffable yet complex orange wine. The tropical juiciness of Muscat and the ripe apricot texture of the Gros Manseng just cannot contain themselves in this summer, sunset party. Stewed yellow fruit, rose, citrus and spicy notes with refreshing acidity.

Trebianno, Umbria, Italy | Natural-wine whisperer Danilo Marcucci will be the first to tell you that he married in to this historic family winery and that despite his expertise, he still considers himself a guest. We are big fans of any litre bottle (name a better party favour, we’ll wait), and this textured treasure is no exception. A light style of orange wine but by no means lacking in fun and flavour, Buccé is produced with no chemicals, no sulfites, no technological interventions just ~vibes~. Well, and centuries of historic winemaking practices, too. Like it’s beautiful colour, this wine tastes like a sunset; apricot and orange citrus skies with grounding stone fruit, a touch of earthy depth and a cool breeze of minerality.
