A rich, aromatic and velvety smooth cheap, cheerful and tasty Lambrusco for the warm mornings, afternoons and evenings ahead of us. Born in 2012 with the merger of two historic cellars in the north of the province of Modena, the Cantina di Carpi (est. 1903), and Cantina di Sorbara (est. 1923), today the Cantina is a large, organic operation that distributes their lambrusco based offerings around the globe. FUN FACT! This wine is dedicated to its founder, Doctor Alfredo Molinari, who held up the Modena local wine trade in the early 20th Century by encouraging cooperation! We love to see it. The 15 to 20-year-old vines are gently crushed, first fermented in steel and then re-fermentation in bottle with fine lees, and left un-disgorged for aromatics and texture. Royal magenta, tiny violets in a patch of mint, caramelized plum upside down cake, limey acidity, cherry pie filling, salami spice & red currant flavoured foam. Enjoy with Chinese egg rolls.
