Like a long trail ride on your spry horse Pumpernickel, after the rain has nearly dried. Established in 1940, and presently cared for by fourth generation winemaker Fabien Coche (since 2005), the family estate has 12ha of increasingly old vines spread over Meursault, Pommard, Auxey-Duresses & Monthélie. Preserving the natural health of the soil has always been a main concern, naturally leading them to the use of organic farming techniques (since 2017). A deeper view into the world of this domaine, with a blend of two parcels of pinot, aged from 30-60 years from famed appellations Meursault & Pommard. The 2020 vintage was quite hot early, but cooled, and gave birth to airy wines bursting with sun & they say, holding particularly excellent ageing potential. Edge of the forest perfume, dry sage & earth, cherry, red plums, blueberry pie, skipping stones, shaved porcini mushroom & a lichen nap. Pour alongside your hunted & foraged meals you proud little survivor.
