If you insist on calling this textbook—which it’s NOT, it’s simply classic and as a result, TIMELESS!—compare it to a forever-figure like Missy Elliott to make the point that this’ll truly stand the test of time, or at least a couple of years in cellar. 14 months in oak. Aristocratic and capital-R rich with the violet hue of a Crown Royal bag, toasty-dark & floral-spicy — blackberry tart, damson plum, Soma blackcurrant chocolate bar, grated nutmeg & leather whip tannins. Like that scene in Charlie’s Angels where Lucy Liu dresses up as an “efficiency expert” in a skin-tight black leather skirt-suit, this is whip-smart and remarkable, the beauty that we have been starving for.
