A scintillatingly aromatic, amphora aged, and high-altitude Spanish skin-contact. One of the highest altitude vineyards in Spain, Altolandon sits 1,100 metres above sea level, where owner and winemaker Rosalia Molina stresses the importance of the organic vineyard’s perch in the sky, as it causes harvests to begin two months later than most of Spain (!) – while they wait for the cool to give way to ripe grapes. FUN FACT! Rosalia promotes biodiversity by welcoming chickens, sheep and pigs from local farms to roam the vineyards freely! The well-rounded and aromatic blend of citric chard, herbal grenache blanc, floral muscat and full-bodied viognier is fermented on skins in clay amphora and aged in French oak to drive texture and complexity. Awakening spring florals, lemongrass tea, pineapple salad, river stone coolness, white pepper & grapefruit rind. Enjoy with a sunny afternoon snack of smoked salmon bagels and fennel salad.
