A concentrated, zero-zero and curious BLOUGE (blanc et rouge blend) from an historic winemaking lineage! Château de Béru has been operational for over 400 years(!) on the exquisite southern escarpment of the Béru Valley. After working towards many improvements including conversion to biodynamics, today mother and daughter team Laurence and Athénaïs tend the prized land and vines, while also producing negociant wines under ‘Athenais de Béru’. A 50/50 blend of fresh n’ juicy gamay from Beaujolais that was whole-cluster macerated for three weeks, and crisp, cleansing aligoté from Saint Bris that was slooowly direct pressed. The two halves were blended and maturated in used Burgundy barrels for 18 months to…amalgamate (sorry). A bucket of raspberries you picked yourself, spring awakening florals, white balsamic, wind chime levity, hawthorn leaf & white mulberries. Enjoy with creamy eggplant dishes, enriched with many spices and shared with someone you’d say is a yin to your yang.
