This extra-special bottling follows the tradition of every 10th release being a Manzanilla Pasada—a Manzanilla aged for longer with a thinner veil of flor—this one from a private family-owned solera from 1986 that had never been bottled until this release – aged millenial in the wild! With an average age of 14 years, the tension between flor influence and oxidative complexity is positively riveting, all the oyster shell salinity of Manzanilla with the bitter almond notes of Amontillado. Bone-dry & intensely mineral with a dry, honeyed quality, balanced and brilliant in the crystalline sense, wildly expansive, shifting tectonic plates of chalky mineral-laced rocks, vibrant acidity & savoury umami richness. Truly singular, a muse forevermore.
