Frolic in the verdant fields of this deeply esoteric rosé from noted natural wine trailblazer, Joan Ramón Escoda! Working entirely without sulphur, Escoda Sanahuja has been at the forefront of the Spanish natural wine scene since the ‘90s, among the first to go biodynamic and stylistically, one of the few to make wines one can truly call “living” – vibrant, electric and friggin’ delicious. In 2020, heavy rains badly affected the vintage so Escoda pivoted the red to rosé, like lemons to wildly funky rhubarb lemonade. A few days on the skins, 6-8 months in tank and no fining, filtration or sulphur. Fruit forward, spice rich and a helluva lotta fun – smoky fruit punch, açai smoothie bowl, crushed florals & a tart, lip-smacking finish. The life of the party, pair with grocery store fruit trays & being hot.
