A collaborative aperitif concocted between winemakers Patrick and Justine of Domaine La Boheme with British expat, Harry Lester – a kindly fellow we had the pleasure of being served by earlier this year at his exceptional restaurant, Le Saint Eutrope! Made from the domaine’s marc (a distillation of all the white wine grape leftovers like skins, seeds and stems) plus lees that are macerated with organic Sardinian citrus, local herbs and flowers – focusing on the historically fabled and beloved gentian root. FUN FACT! Gentian root comes from the flowering plants of the Gentiana genus, and is used in traditional medicine as a digestive aid and treatment for various other ailments (#BotanyIsCool). Finally it is blended with organic cane sugar and chardonnay juice to balance the bitters and alcohol content respectively. Two years of resting before release, this is an all around herbal remedy complete with seductive florals & an undeniably vegetal tone. Enjoy with soda, mixed into a freaky blonde negroni or simply with some ice and a dash of citrus.
