Loyal farmers and tender sculptors of fermentation since their first foray into wine making in 2013, we could not possibly adore the wines of Anders and Anne more. From a background in restaurants and social work respectively, they now grow & ferment between Alsace and Ardeche. Composed of powerful Syrah (45%), cherried Merlot (30%), clever Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) & herbaceous Grenache Noir (5%). All grapes are fermented in tank and then quickly hurried into bottles to finish their fermentation and create voluptuous bubbles. On par with our other fav pet-nats from the likes of Les Capriades, 2019 Chard-nat from Keenan & Zöe, and Festejar from Patrick Bouju. Quite a bit of crunchy chew & unexpected refinement for their first attempt into the world of pet-nat. Tangy acidity with a small pat-on-the-back amount of residual sweetness, aromatic berry bushes, a salty touch & a pleasant bit of lingering fruit skin bitterness.
