Jean-Claude Lapalu is a living legend in Beaujolais, a grape grower who became a shining star of the natural wine scene in France. Like many other farmers, he sold his grapes to the local cooperative before deciding to bottle his own wines, quickly gaining renown for their density and complex profiles. True to word, this is a sophisticated, intellectual Gamay, like something Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen would design for The Row. Organically farmed with biodynamic practices, aged 5-6 months in tank and bottled without fining or filtration. Dark-fruited and brooding but with a distinct freshness –smoked cherry, red liquorice, dark chocolate, saddle leather & hand-rolled cigarette are wrapped up tight with supple, savoury tannins. Effortlessly complex and drinkable, this wine never disappoints – pair with rack of lamb & lightly poached lake trout.

For Toronto Orders (M Postal Code) that are placed before 8 pm will arrive within 1 to 2 days. Our courier delivers between 12 - 5pm Mon-Fri and sends tracking. We do not offer same day delivery on Fridays.
If you would like your item delivered on a certain day, please let us know at checkout.
For Ontario-wide orders, delivery will vary depending on the location but will take an average of 5 business days, or longer depending on remote locations.
We can’t *guarantee* shipping times outside of Toronto - we wish! - so please order early if you know you need your wine for a special occasion. Please note our delivery partners for Ontario do not deliver on the weekends.
