Like many other farmers, he sold his grapes to the local cooperative before deciding to bottle his own wines, quickly gaining renown for their density and complex profiles. True to word, this is a sophisticated, intellectual Gamay, like something Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen would design for The Row. Organically farmed with biodynamic practices, aged 5-6 months in tank and bottled without fining or filtration. Dark-fruited and brooding but with a distinct freshness –smoked cherry, red liquorice, dark chocolate, saddle leather & hand-rolled cigarette are wrapped up tight with supple, savoury tannins. Effortlessly complex and drinkable, this wine never disappoints – pair with rack of lamb & lightly poached lake trout.
