Gemstone-textured & punky hot pink, this rose is what we call a vino di una notte (See??? So sexy! Big drama!), meaning it is macerated on the skins for only one hot night, then pressed the very next morning. Unfined & unfiltered, though still maintaining Martha’s trademark purity & focus, Nero grapes are grown in gravelly loam soil on gentle hillside slopes. How idyllic! We love the idea of honoring the wine’s humble beginnings by enjoying it with a gentle hillside picnic of your own; pair with cutie kooky antipasti like garlic-stuffed olives or that cold calamari salad you can buy at literally every grocery store but for some reason no one really talks about it? This wine is electric & bright, fun-loving & probably a Sagittarius, with flavs of watermelon candy, rosewater kombucha, dewy earth, & strawberry rhubarb pie. Martha herself recommends starting out the bottle with a classic poolside chill, then letting it warm up over time so the inherent poetry & spice of robust Nero d’Avola can turn up & say hello.
