Farmed from one of the oldest Pinot Meunier vineyards in Australia, this rare cuvée from punk rock winery Ochota Barrels is made from a chimeric mutation of Pinot Noir – crunchy, electric and done up in pretty pink florals for spring. Part-destemmed and partially left whole cluster, Cain was direct pressed to French barriques before being bottled without fining or filtration. And like any weird & wild light reds, it leaves nothing to the imagination – strawberry lemonade slushie from the gas station, tart rhubarb, blood orange popsicle, watermelon and its rind, white strawberries, Zamalek hibiscus soda, fennel seed & saline depth with bright, starry-eyed acid. Pair with drunk stick-and-pokes, stealing flowers from rich people & stage diving straight into bed.
