Rosé All Day
Gamay Noir, Cab Franc & Pinot Noir, Niagara, Ontario | If you’re the type to not wear a shirt under your overalls, here’s a dry, fleshy & perfectly fruited rosé for you! This deckside staple brings us back to our youth, when scented markers were all the rage – remember Scentsations? – and red smelled like strawberry pie! And just like a scented marker, you can practically smell this wine just by looking at it, all iridescent red fruit in a perfectly snappy ‘lil package that you’ll want to tote around to every BBQ you’re invited to. Juuust dark enough to qualify as a featherweight red, this crusher spends five months in tank and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Fresh-forward with a touch of spritz and notes of sweet strawberry, pomegranate punch, wildberry tea, Swedish berries, a touch of florality and an earthy, slightly mineral finish. Perfect with pink pants & a hot summer breeze.
Zinfandel, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Muscat, Mendocino County, USA | DRINK UP summarizes this dry and flawlessly fruit forward rosé. From New-Cali winemakers Shaunt and Diego, ‘Populis’ is their purchased fruit line from trusted organic growers in Mendocino, equally delicious & gluggable down to the last drop. The full malolactic fermentation balances this freshness with an unctuous mouthfeel and big-waterslide-length. A foundation of (70%) stone-fruited zinfandel, (15%) acid-slinging pinot gris, (10%) self-indulgent chardonnay & (5%) wistfully aromatic muscat. Pink guava, fruit punch jello, peach rings, rhubarb curd, rose trellis, stony minerality & grapefruit pith + skin tannins. Enjoy while slip-n’-slidin’ your afternoon away!
Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Imereti, Georgia
‘Vardisperi’ translates to "the pink one” and certainly does not disappoint, so come on Georgian Barbie, let’s go to a rosé party! Winemakers Bastien Warskotte and Nino Gvantseladze focus exclusively on regional varietals, and their wines not only carry the 8000-year legacy of Georgian winemaking, but also belong to the new wave of winemakers reintroducing Georgia to the world. From a 40 year old vineyard planted on minerality-heaping calcareous soils, we get a direct pressed blend of tarragon-y rkatsiteli & autumnal, rich saperavi combining for the prettiest darn rosé. Fermented in old French wooden barrels and aged in steel tanks to keep aromatics big n’ bold. Sweet pea perfumed, picking the cherries out of a black forest cake, bloody minerality, fruitopia & green peppercorn. Enjoy with a plate of fresh fruits, nuts and the softest of cheeses drizzled in honey.
