Rosé All Day
Riesling & Gamay, Ontario, Canada
A JUICY, nuanced rosé that exemplifies weeknight GLAM at its finest, while tasting like a perfect watermelon slushie. Ontario House is our new project collaborating with local producers hell-bent on bringing delicious, well-made and well-priced wines to your table! This first release is made entirely by our friends at Paradise Grapevine, a 50/50 blend of ripping riesling and lamblike, berry-driven gamay (both planted in 1987!), that were barrel aged for six months to consolidate their overtly tasty assets. The riesling was direct pressed for lime-zest clarity, while the gamay was destemmed and gently macerated for two weeks to pull fantastically flouncy tannins & pretty red fruit abound. Made from scratch fruit gusher, basil and thyme, fig leaf sparkling water, dried hibiscus, lemon juice acidity, coconut oil washed cocktail & an ice cube of perfect dilution. Enjoy while listening to Toronto’s Jazz FM’s Jazzology with Heather Bambrick, as emerging artists showcase their talents and share their stories! <3 Also, with anything spicy.
Zinfandel, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Muscat, Mendocino County, USA | DRINK UP summarizes this dry and flawlessly fruit forward rosé. From New-Cali winemakers Shaunt and Diego, ‘Populis’ is their purchased fruit line from trusted organic growers in Mendocino, equally delicious & gluggable down to the last drop. The full malolactic fermentation balances this freshness with an unctuous mouthfeel and big-waterslide-length. A foundation of (70%) stone-fruited zinfandel, (15%) acid-slinging pinot gris, (10%) self-indulgent chardonnay & (5%) wistfully aromatic muscat. Pink guava, fruit punch jello, peach rings, rhubarb curd, rose trellis, stony minerality & grapefruit pith + skin tannins. Enjoy while slip-n’-slidin’ your afternoon away!
Cabernet Franc, Pineau d’Aunis & Chenin Blanc, Loire Valley, France
A rare and lucky love triangle, as could only be concocted in the Loire valley’s Saumur region. From winemakers Emeline Calvez and Sebastien Bobinet we are gifted this organic and youthful Cab Franc, Pineau d’Aunis & Chenin blend. A mix of direct pressing and maceration concocts a vibrant, greedy nose and striking colour – imagine if Pantone had a colour called ‘blushing candy lobster’. The ‘Piak! rosé’ is serving salted raspberry sorbet, crunchy Fuji apple skins, grapefruit mint leaves, cherry taffy pull & watermelon juice squeezed on acacia wood. ‘Piak! rosé’ is ready and waiting to run with you through the brambly forest bushes and cannonball naked into a bottomless country pond. Cheers to you both.
