After studying to become an enologist, winemaker Roberto Henriquez worked for wineries in Chile, South Africa & Canada. Now, Roberto farms seven hectares in the Cordillera de Nahuelbuta mountain range. A rich winemaking culture and tradition exists in Chile’s southern region of Bio-Bio, with intriguing soil diversity, climate differentiations & vines older than all of us! Made with grapes from 200 year old organic pais bush vines that are de-stemmed with gentle crushing, before five months in old barrels. Energetic aromatically, with maraschino cherry, sage brush, dried eucalyptus, peppergrass, elk jerky, blueberries & blood orange rind. Pour alongside cow tongue tacos!
