A still life drawing class with one of our all-time favourite Toronto artists in the gorgeous Waterworks Secret Garden Patio? Yes, please! Join Laura for a two hour painting and drawing class perfect for anyone who wants to, in her words: "just sit with nice people in a pleasant place and draw beautiful things." All experience levels welcome. We'll gather in the courtyard, where each participant will be set up to capture a stunning series of centrepieces created by florist Timberlost and warmly coached by Laura with how to bring the moment to life. A tremendously practical way to return to the present moment, helpful in calming, re-centring, confidence and team-building. Plus, you leave with your gorgeous art piece!
Wine, beer, cider and non-alc drinks will be available to purchase.

Laura Dawe is an interdisciplinary Canadian artist based in Toronto and Newfoundland.
Her painting, installation and video work contend with the domestic mania of political impotence; exploring the intersections of fine art and home decor. She believes home life is basically as political as anything else.
Dawe holds an MFA from OCADU (2018) and a BA in History from Dalhousie (2010). She is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre Director’s Lab (2012). She teaches at Sheridan College, The Haliburton School of Art & Design, and private workshops like this one. Find her work in many places, including ours, from her gorgeous diptych greeting you at Dundas, to her mural on the patio to our gorgeous hand-painted umbrellas at Waterworks.
All event tickets are non-refundable. This class will be held in the Secret Garden Courtyard Patio at our Waterworks location. This patio is accessible from Richmond and Augusta - look for the big metal gates or come find us our near-by location at 15 Maud and we can steer you in the right direction. In the event of rain, we'll relocate to the hall.

This seated maker sessions takes place in the Secret Garden Patio of Waterworks Food Hall. This event is accessible with easy access parking downstairs and elevators on site. Gender neutral bathrooms are on the parking level. Water and spittoons will be provided. Ample (delicious!) food available to purchase in the hall.
