A tropical, citric and classically crispy Rioja blanco. Third generation winemakers, sisters Clara and Patricias Espinosa, operate their small family winery in Rioja that has been operational for over 100 years! The organic and sustainably grown grapes are entirely their own, planted by Patricias and Clara’s grandparents, and brought up to low-intervention standards to better express the terroir and regional grapes. A blend of verdant, round viura (otherwise known as macabeo, 75%) and tropical, salty white tempranillo (25%) are harvested early to retain acidity, then macerated for 24 hours to pull texture and lock in aromatics. FUN FACT! Viura is the most important grape in the traditional making of white Rioja! Pineapple meets green apple, grapefruit juice no pulp, jasmine vine, sunshine, acacia, salt n’ zingy lime zest. Enjoy with some nice fried pickerel and a pickle mayo.
