A crunchy, spiced and undeniably CHERRY-FORWARD Spanish grenache. New to GW Imports, open your eyes to the lesser known world of Tarragona, Spain, with Tanca Els Ulls! Winemaker Francesc organically tends the old regional vines planted by his grandfather from inside a breathing web of forests, wild herbs and hazelnut, almond, orange, olive and carob trees. The 13-year-old vines are sourced from a trusted nearby neighbour, and see five days of semi-carbonic maceration which gives a sweet, bejewelled hue and pouncing aromatics. Lip-smacking with cherry flavoured rock candy sticks, maraschino cherry jar, pink peppercorn, a pinch of cellar musk & a rockslide of minerality. Serve chilled, while dancing til your feet give out.
