An elegant, concentrated, and aromatic bojo from a master – find something wrong, we double dog dare you! Dutraive is a captain of Beaujolais: devoted, highly capable & beloved – for both his top-tier wines and welcoming nature that extends from him through his lineup. Domaine de la Grand Cour is a historic estate located on a plateau in Fleurie, and Famille Dutraive is a micro-negoce he created in 2017 after two consecutive years of devastating hail losses. The 50-year-old gamay vines come from a single, certified organic plot called "Les Déduits", located to the east of the Fleurie appellation on deep, granitic soils. FUN FACT! Granite is associated with quick drainage, leading to more layered and intense flavours and aromas, as vines focus on producing fewer, smaller, and more concentrated grapes! Floral windstorm, wild strawberry, raspberry seed and leaf, minerality running side by side with the perennial CHERRY. Enjoy while planning out next year’s garden, you green-thumbed lil faerie.
