Riesling, Pfalz, Germany

Stein & Fels is a delicious wine that tastes freakin' delicious (can you tell we love her) with a nose that literally feels like being a kid walking into a Sugar Mountain & seeing container after container of every gummi shape & flavour you could ever dream of, a world full of possibility! Such a cool expression of Riesling, somehow managing to taste undeniably like Riesling but also unlike any other Riesling we've ever tried, a dry but flavourful wine with a yin-yang balance between residual sugar & pointed acidity. Rockets candy, candy cuteness, kiwi fruit, orange sherbet, marshmallow strawberries, playing Candyland on Easter. Plus, it’s got an extremely reasonable ABV of 10% so you don’t have to stress too hard about overdoing it on the YUM!

Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Gris, Niagara, Canada

Introducing a brand new cuvée to our Ontario House line! This locally focused project allows us to collaborate with our favourite producers hell-bent on bringing delicious, well-made and well-priced wines to your table! From our pals at PGV, ‘Sauvy Gris’ is a three barrel blend of 2/3rds aromatic, zesty pinot gris from the organically certified Jenkins Vineyard and 1/3 verdant, mineral sauvignon blanc from the Reuther Vineyard (certified sustainable), both in Four Mile Creek. All of the grapes were pressed directly into stainless steel for a cozy co-fermentation before being moved, along with their lees, into neutral french oak barrique which encouraged richness and rounding. A lil musky intrigue, clear skies with clouds rolling in, pineapple and apple fruit leathers, minerality sweeps over buttery winter weight, citric acid packet & salt to taste. Enjoy alongside your favourite cool weather activity – building a snowman, cross-country skiing or huddling indoors with a stack of real good books awaiting the coming of Spring.

Catarrato Bianco & Grillo, Sicily, Italy

The colour of honey-tinted sunlight, and twice as tender. Mortellito is a two hectare piece of countryside where winemaker Dario Serrentino’s great-grandparents lived in the early twentieth century. Sicily is a revered hot spot for innovation and organic wine, and has been called, “the hip grandmother of the wine world” by some. FUN FACT! Dario used to sell his grapes to famed natural wine producers the likes of Frank Cornelissen and Lamoresca, talk about #GoodGrapes! A joining of the full and herbal grillo (90%), and bright catarratto (10%), harvested from chalky soils and clearly having left their mineral mark. White nectarine, darts of acidity, salty sea glass and seashells, bruised lime, green bean snap, whipping whipped cream, tall grasses & starfruit. Enjoy with dirty potatoes: roughly diced, fresh rosemary, Montreal steak spice, sizzling in a scalding pool of duck fat.
