An aromatic, salty and fruit-punch-y Piedmont orange by the LITRE! Cinzia and Fausto Cellario are third generation winemakers, tending to their 13 hectares of vineyards (co-planted with hazelnut trees) and fermenting away in the western outskirts of the southern Langhe. They choose to exclusively work with organic farming practices and regional Piedmontese grape varieties, while fiercely defending the local winemaking traditions they grew up with. A blend of 30 year-old vines including citric, honeyed nascetta, floral, musky moscato and herbaceous, tropically-fruited incrocio manzoni all macerate with skins for one week before aging between amphora and cement. Bottled florals, a Tang creamsicle on ice garnished with clementine rind, salt, gently bark-like tannins & clover honey. Shake it up and enjoy with eggs benny, prosciutto waffles or a simple Sicilian brioche.
