In a convenient size of one giant glass of wine, this zero-sulphur, slurp-worthy can of rosé pet-nat from extremely natural Catalunyan wine project Can-Vi is made to be snuck into a matinee. Winemakers Jordi Llorens and Jordi Solé with Cristina Vaqué are on a mission to make organic wines with the most hands-off approach imaginable in sustainable and practical packaging. In the case of their rosat, peppery monastrell grapes were gently pressed then only half-fermented before being canned. The remaining sugars caused carbon to build up in the can and voila: FIZZ WAS BORN! And so was an amaranth pink sparkling with bubbles are as petite as its container. FUN FACT! ‘Can-Vi’ loosely translates to ‘change,” because, as the team says, ‘life changes and so do we.’ Crack this cold one open and inhale U-pick raspberries, Crate & Barrel holiday cocktail syrup & adorable neighbour’s balcony herb garden.
