An aromatic, textural and fruit-overflowing Australian fiano. We are always yelling about how delicious Australian Fiano is, and it is a delight to bring you such a great example at a stand-out price. Laura and Brendan Carter of new-to-Ontario Unico Zelo, are an active part of the ‘New Australia’ movement, and focus on sun-loving Italian grapes, sustainability & natural yeast fermentation. Grown on the ancient, sandy-limestone soils of Waikerie, Riverland (a location that sees less rain than many designated deserts), the grapes are macerated for 24 hours to create body, structure and firmly affix aromatics. White pear, jasmine and white peach blossoms, salt shake, ginger n’ lemon tea, raw almond, a pronounced, tingling acidity & fleshy quince texture. Pour alongside grilled cheese, extra cheese and extra pickles on the side.
