For more than 200 years, Conestabile della Staffa has produced some of the finest wines in the region. Taking over in the early 2000s, Alessandra Conestabile’s husband, Danilo Marcucci is now head winemaker, working with the philosophy, "No chemistry in the vineyard, no technology in the cellar, natural wine”. The symbiotic union of trebbiano’s stony minerality to the whirling scents of malvasia show as one in this particularly emotive vintage. A bruised golden hue garnered from the small amount of skin contact also creates an unbelievably lustrous tactility. Citrus blossoms, nectarine danish, old flowers, worn wooden picture frames & a beeswax camisole behind a lime peel zipper. Enjoy with anchovy heavy caesar salad & Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass.
