Waterworks Education Hour: New Ways to Taste
Wine tasting notes at their best, create a shared language around how we experience flavour. But the traditional vocabulary can feel cool & limiting, and natural wine has expanded far beyond these borders. Terms like “gooseberry” (have you ever actually tasted one?) and “medium minus” don’t evoke the feeling of what's in the glass or make us particularly excited to drink it! What are the new ways to taste & how can we share the dynamic experience of each bottle?

Education Hour: Blind Tasting
In this beloved GW offering, we’ll explore the fine line between prestige and value. We’ll taste without knowing what's in our glass, comparing beloved benchmarks with their lesser-known counterparts. Along the way, we’ll ask: what makes wine expensive? Does cost always equal quality? And how do we train our palates (and our hearts) to recognize greatness beyond the label? Expect a night of humility, delight, and maybe a few surprises!
