It’s no surprise we loved it, Rotburger is RR81’s flagship, inspired by owner Peter Neudorf’s fascination with the fresh red grape on a trip to Austria two decades ago. Now it thrives in Niagara, where the Neudorf family runs their beautiful property, The Farm, and their experimental, no addition project, RR81 named after the road they sit on in the Twenty Mile Bench near Jordan. Grapes are simply fermented with just a few bins and a basket press. The result are some of the most interesting wines coming out of Niagara and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the shop for the first time. An inky colour belies a lifted palate with Montmorency Cherry, muddled herbs and kool-aid tang. Pair with daal, garlic naan and binge watching, Law & Order: Toronto spotting all the places you’ve been WHERE MAYBE SOMEONE WAS MURDERED?!
