Their winery, Aasha, is a 2.8 acre slice of sustainably-farmed vineyards sitting in the Naramata Bench, at the northern end of the Okanagan Valley, BC. Planted in 2007, their silty-loam vineyards are home to rows of syrah, cabernet sauvignon and viognier which are pruned for very low yields and made into their tight, estate-based lineup. FUN FACT! The ‘Bench Time’ rosé is made using the saignée method, and involves “bleeding” off a portion of red grape juice after it’s been in contact with the skins and seeds for richer and more powerful expressions. Raspberry flowers and juice, whole watermelon, beach minerality, daisies & white pepper tingle. Pour alongside turkey lunch meat or cucumber n’ cream cheese sandwiches while researching the Ogopogo.
