The newest instalment in local institution Bar Volo’s series “Volare”, where they partner with producers from around the world for fun exclusives. FUN FACT! “Volare” means “to fly,” and is a nod to the Dean Martin classic tune that the owners grew up listening to as kids! Their second bottling is a stunner from natural wine phenom Andi Mann. Mann is a young winemaker in Eckelsheim, Germany, reworking traditional methods in the fields and cellars of his 10-hectare winery. Cultivating his vines holistically and using minimal intervention during winemaking, he produces cuvées that uniquely reflect their place of origin. FUN FACT! Andi nurtures the wild orchids of the area, and allows local sheep to traipse through the vineyards to help loosen the soil! Here we have a blend of rich, darkly-berried cabernet dorsa, floral, spiced portugieser, and meaty, herbaceous merlot. Black currants, violets, super spiced fruitcake, preserved cherry, cacao bitters & a garden of herbs. Enjoy out of red solo cups while have a ping pong duel to the death.
