Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Raboso Piave, Veneto, Italy

For lovers of the final scene of Saltburn & putting ciggys out on the bottom of their shoe. Marco (the toothpick chomping face on the bottle, and winery head) took an interest in organic and biodynamic farming from an early age. Starting as a social project, the winemaking was carried on by Marco and friends he met while working with fellow Venetian natural winemaker, Stefano Menti. Today, the self-appointed “Barbaboyz” take care of small plots of abandoned vineyards, ranging from sedimentary terrains to volcanic soils. ‘Barbarossa’ is their only red, composed mainly of free-wheelin’ merlot, tannin-taut cab sauv & the acid-bringing local grape, raboso piave. Crunchy as a raw cranberry, sour cherry jelly, potpourri pastille, castelvetrano olives, beetroot cola tongue tickle, stemmy spice & a mineral swoosh. Enjoy with antipasti.
