Olek Bondonio was a champion snowboarder in his youth making him perfectly at home on the steep slopes that surround his Barbaresco cantina. The historic family estate 200+ years old! This is the second vintage of a Barbera that Olek produced with some of his own grapes, and some grapes sourced from friends with nearby vineyards. Fermented and aged for a short period in stainless steel, a hallmark Bondonio bottle but lighter, highly quaffable & lively as heck! Lots of wild summer strawberries, fresh sage, thyme, sumac-like tannins & underripe path-side blackberries. Some things will just always make sense, and this is a true pizza night wine if we ever did see.
