A fruit, floral and mineral German orange! Bianka and Daniel Schmitt are fourth generation winemakers working with biodynamic practices in the south of the Rheinhessen region of Germany. Together they manage the 16-hectare, Demeter certified estate which has been in Daniel's family for over 200 years! A blend of four grapes, including tropical, herbal scheurebe (25%) and citric, musky huxelrebe (25%) macerate for a week and a half on the skins for texture and depth, while the verdant weissburgunder (pinot blanc, 25%) and rich grauburgunder (pinot gris, 25%), were pressed whole cluster for freshness. Dusty yellow, and tart with fresh gooseberries, a chamomile bouquet hung to dry, apple sauce, steeped lemon grass, peeling mandarins, mineral strength & a homemade paper texture. Enjoy alongside anything dipped in baba ganoush.
