Today, Pierre-Olivier farms 10 hectares of his own vines and rents an additional six, with an admirable focus on single variety expressions of both highly favoured and near forgotten Loire valley grapes. ‘Cheverny Rouge’ is a blend of 15 to 40-year-old vines of pinot noir (80%) and gamay (20%) grown in sandy, limestone-clay soils. The grapes are whole-cluster macerated for 15 days integrating aromatics and tactility, then aged for six months to tenderize. Cherry popsicle, plum skins, rose bud, lemon oil, chalky rock pile minerality, a crushed velvet texture & tree bark spice. Pour alongside rereading Wuthering Heights in preparation for the 2026 Margot Robbie reboot. We’re already BLUSHING.
