A dense, delectable and zero-zero oxidative STUNNER in a conveniently pocket sized 500 mL bottle. JUST in from Grape Witch Imports, the highly sought-after wines of Bruno Duchêne are now available in Ontario for the very first time! Previously a SUCCESSFUL mushroom grower, Bruno retired to the southern region of Banyuls-sur-Mer in his early 40s, and began making wine in 2002 when he became bored of retired life. With a gobsmacking view of the Mediterranean Sea, his 4.5, schist-y hectares of 15 to 70-year-old, terraced vines are tended by hand or mule with as little intervention as possible to produce this region-defining lineup. ‘L’Ambré’ is made from 50-year-old grenache gris that was (intentionally) forgotten about for eight years of un-topped-up aging due to a high sugar content! FUN FACT! Only 300 bottles were produced and we got 18 of them! Sherry-lite, with medjool dates, burnt orange and marshmallow, creme brûlée, salted caramel walnuts, prickling minerality in the background, old leaves & a gentle merino wool texture. Pour alongside your favourite dessert, be it a baked Alaska, Dubai chocolate or a trolly of assorted cheeses.
