Here is a blend of two of them, Rosière and Bruyères. Both are south-facing vineyards in Montigny-les-Arsures with similar terroir: light, gravelly soil with 'argile à chailles', a flinty clay that is Trousseau's most beloved soil type. Bruyères, higher up on the hill makes lean, fresh wines, while Rosière is deep and age-worthy. Handpicked, naturally fermented and aged in old Alsatian foudre, 97% of production is sold directly to private consumers in France, we’re lucky to get a little once a year! Lifted and harmonious with a precise & aromatic palate. Verdant garden (herbs, not flowers), dried bouquet, autumnal crunch, church incense, dog-eared vintage paperback, cinnamon and bloomed peonies. Burgundy lovers rejoice, this is trés classique with a modern sensibility.
