A third of a bottle of a zero-sulphur, juicy, spicy, natural Spanish red wine in sustainable, travel-friendly packaging? Don’t tempt us with a good time! Can-Vi – a fun and practical wine-in-can project from Catalonian winemakers Jordi Llorens and Jordi Solé with Cristina Vaqué. Together they make some of the most natural wine in-a-can we can imagine. Meaning this wine’s deeply, darkly cherry-y garnaxta and delicate trepat grapes are certified organic, were picked by hand, left to their own devices to ferment (no added yeasts), aged in a big orange amphora clay pot to bring in silky texture, then left unfiltered in the can. The result is all Black Forest cake, strawberry vape, splurging on the spices in glass jars, & the glove toss in the burlesque show. It’s succulent; it’s dry; it wants to be outside. FUN FACT! Can-Vi roughly translates to ‘change’ because, as the two Jordis and one Cristina put it, ‘life changes and so do we.’ Have it with a fennel-laced summer sausage sawed in slices by the very corkscrew knife you won’t need to open this wine.
